GIVING UP IS NEVER AN OPTION

LIFE IS HARD!

And it is so most of the times.It feels like we are constantly being tried and tested for how far we can go,how much we can resist,how much we can endure.It is almost like an unknown force that tries to drag us through the mellows of hard times to see if we really can take it all and come out  victorious.

And just when we are through a hard phase and are blissfully soaking in the warmth of peace and serenity,there’s another blow.And Life is hard once again.It’s almost like a continuous process-like running around in circles;without an end,without a hope.

We all have dreams-some small,some big and some which seem impossible,but equally dear nonetheless.We dream of greater things-greater goals,greater love and greater lives.As kids, we dream of  growing up and saving the world and as we grow, we thrive to make a place of our own in the world,the world we once dreamed of saving.Still, each day we nurture more dreams as lovingly as we did yesterday.

But then it hits us-not once or twice but repeatedly in so many forms,times and situations-It’s hard to make a dream come true.It’s hard to carry on,It’s hard to live in our own terms.Basically-Life is one tough journey.

Sometimes people give up their biggest dreams just when they are about to take the last step towards achieving it just because it seemed unattainable.And then they live the rest of their lives in the sorrow of their unfulfilled dream that was so close.Why,after coming this far and being so close to what we want,we give up?Why,after proving time and again to the world that everything is possible if we are determined and focused,we end up giving away our life-long ambitions?

WHY DO WE MAKE GIVING UP AN OPTION?

Giving up-is not and never will be an option.None of us is as vulnerable or as weak as we make ourselves to be.There are so many people in our lives who constantly support us through our ups and downs, believe in us(sometimes more than we believe in ourselves) and deep in their hearts have hopes from us.And they don’t believe in us just out of the love they have for us or because we are related to them but because they know us as we are -they know how strong we are and they are right there to back us up in case we fall apart. You have the determination,You have the willpower,You have the strength,You have the talent and You have the unfathomable love and belief of people to go get your dreams,So what can possibly stop you from obtaining what you stand for?

Obstacles are temporary,achievement is permanent.Why give up?I can see a hundred reasons for why I should be chasing my dreams as against one reason for why I should give it up.And I will go for 100 as against 1 and I bet it is the right choice.We shouldn’t let the shadows of our hard times take over our willpower and strength.

I strongly believe that in life,we come through hard times so we learn to appreciate the good things in life more and to bask in the glory of victory even better.In a way,barriers are made to see if anyone is strong enough to break through it and move forward.So on your way to success, if you come through barriers-Be the one who breaks them-Your dream is just seconds away.

Never give up,because GIVING UP IS NEVER AN OPTION.

TIME IS THE BEST GIFT YOU CAN EVER GIVE

The most prized possessions we own are our memories-the bittersweet moments we fondly treasure to look back into and smile whenever we need one.Those cute childhood memories,the times we spent being our parents’ spoiled kids,the memories of school and college,the precious little moments of sharing talks about anything and everything with our friends, the moments of laughter,pain,achievements and a million other things.

Memories are precious..

Memories mean treasured moments;

Memories mean time-that was,that will never come back yet stay in our heart and mind forever.

As we move on with our life, we often remember people by the memories we hold of them. We laugh and cry and become all nostalgic reliving all those old memories when we meet our friends who we haven’t seen since ages.We realize that it wasn’t really what we gave our friends or our family or our loved ones that mattered more,it was how much we spent time with them to create such treasured memories and that, made the real difference.

The best gift there can ever be is the gift of TIME.

Sure we all love getting gifts.Besides the happiness of having shiny new things; it is also about that special feeling of knowing that people genuinely care.But besides all the momentary happiness we gain from having things we always wanted,in the end,it is the thought, the love, the care and the feeling that matters the most to us.

Every relationship needs time. We grew up happily because our parents gave us their time no matter how hectic their own schedules were. We have a few friends who are dearer to us than life itself because we gave them our time and they gave us theirs.We fall in love because we give it time to flourish.Those memories, those beautiful moments-everything resulted from time we spent on creating them.

Everything is only a matter of time.After a while, It won’t matter how much you spent on that lavish gift you gave your loved one. What will matter is the amount of time you spent on making people feel special, on showing that for you-your people come first.

Sometimes in life,we get so busy putting everything  together that we forget there are people who expect us to spend time with them but are too considerate about our busy lives that they don’t even say it.We tend to be so caught up in our own lives that we don’t realize how long it has been since we last spoke to our loved ones or spent quality time with them.We don’t give them our time,and life passes by in wasted moments which could have been magical otherwise.

As humans,we are emotional beings-we crave love,we crave care,we crave moments of pure joy,we crave happiness. Occasionally we get tired of all the chaos and want to spend some time away and alone but most of the times,we want to be surrounded by people who love us-we crave importance!

For instance,one would rather choose their family and friends come over to see them on their birthday than getting a stack of presents delivered at their homes and not having a single person to share the joy of the occasion with.

The thing is-time,is the greatest gift of all!

 

I hope all of us realize this and spend more time with people we love.I hope we make fond memories everyday,I hope at times we go out of our way to make someone happy,I hope we share laughter and good times everyday,I hope we share moments everyday and I hope that we live everyday.

So many of us get so caught up in our life that we no more have time for the people in our lives,

Be the one who always makes time for people!

So many of us just dream of a perfect life,and waste it whining and waiting,

Be the one who never waits and make his own dreams come true!

Life is like an empty canvas to be painted on with all the beautiful colors and the palette is in our hands.Life is not what makes us,We are what make life.

So,Live like there’s no pain in the world,Live like there’s no tomorrow and Live like today is the best occasion to celebrate.Because TODAY,the life that is happening to you right now is the right time to live,laugh and enjoy in the best way you can.

Don’t just breathe,Don’t just sit there and watch life pass by-LIVE and LIVE LARGE-IN YOUR OWN TERMS!!

WHEN LOVE KNOCKS AT YOUR DOOR..

Life isn’t exactly like the glossy romantic movies or fairy tales where one fine day,you stumble upon your soul mate- a statuesque picture of perfection,who sweeps you away from your feet, wins your heart all over and takes you out of your misery to a faraway place where you live happily ever after.

By now,we know well enough that it doesn’t work like that.But still, we long to find the perfect lover-Right from the looks to the character to the voice and manners and even the way he cares and loves-the picture of our ideal lover is fairly etched in our minds.

But there is never a perfect person,a perfect day,a perfect place,a perfect time or a perfect moment to fall in love.Love simply happens-the only difference is that sometimes it eventually materializes as time passes by and sometimes it happens in the slightest of moments-when you see a person and sparks fly all around.

That is love for you-it comes unannounced and has the ability and strength to stay as long as forever.Love is the biggest blessing we have,the biggest gift we can give and the biggest treasure that we own,which increases all the more when shared.It doesn’t come with a price tag but is still precious,it doesn’t come with terms and conditions but is still required to be handled with great care.Love is the synonym of happiness and who doesn’t want happiness in life?So when life offers you love,don’t let it slip by.

Love is not about the perfect people and a perfect relationship-it is about imperfect people and a love that goes beyond perfection.As Jodi Picoult stated in My Sister’s Keeper,“You don’t love someone because they’re perfect, you love them in spite of the fact that they’re not.”

An ideal relationship is beyond materialism;one that is simple,sweet and surreal.If the happiness of the person who you love matters to you more than your own happiness,If your love grows deeper and stronger with every passing day,If you feel in your heart that finding the love of your life is  the best thing that ever happened to you,If you know and understand that it is meant to be-then what more reasons you seek to make it last forever?

One doesn’t find love,love finds you.Let love find you,and when it does;don’t let it go.Whoever said that whatever happens,happens for good, was right in saying so.Even if  you failed at making a relationship last,love will find you again-don’t shut yourself from all the happiness you deserve and can have.Don’t let go of people who love you simply because they don’t love you the way you want them to,because they still love you in their own way.

When love knocks at your door,don’t restrain with the hope of finding a better one

Because in the hope of finding a better one,you may have given away the best you could ever get.

Each one of us-with different dreams,different goals and different perspectives,wake up each morning with a new purpose and go about with our different lives.All of us are different,unique and distinguished from one another-yet there are things which brings us all together irrespective of all the differences we have.

If religions divide us,humanity brings us together.

Every day,we meet a lot of people,but there are only a selected few among the millions of people we stumble upon in our life,who will remain unforgettable and hold a very special place in our hearts no matter what.

In all of our lives,we come across a lot of people who,in some way or the other,are in our hearts and minds-be it the special ones,the very very special ones,the unforgettables,the best ones,the loud ones,the quiet ones,the advisors,the “hello-hi” types,the bad ones,the silly ones,etc.

But whatever may be the kind of relation we share with them,people are one of the most essential part of our lives.

Words won’t be enough to explain what importance they hold,but here are some people,who are the best of them all:

Our FAMILY who have seen us grow ,been with us at all times-good or bad and who forgive us no matter what,the ones who give meaning to “Coming Home”.

That one BEST FRIEND who knows all our secrets,shares all our pains and celebrates all our successes.

That TEACHER who pushed us to work harder because s/he saw our potential before we could.

That ROLEMODEL whom we looked upon all the time,who gave us inspiration to be the best we could be.

That FUNNY ONE who always managed to make us smile even at our lowest times.

Those FRIENDS who we shared moments and memories with,those who were always there to quietly mourn at our loss and joyfully celebrate on our gains.

Quiet,untold,sometimes merely unexpressed and sometimes hard to define in words-such is the relationship between a father and his child.

The glory of this relationship may not be as much written about,as much sung upon or as much discussed about as a mother-child relationship,but both the parents bestow the best of their love upon their off springs.A father’s role is as equally contributing and important on shaping the future of his child as a mother’s.

A father works hard to secure his child’s future,He returns home tired yet takes out his children to dinners with a smile on his face,He wants his children to have all their whims and wishes fulfilled at their first demand,He spoils his children rotten but still manages to set an example of discipline in the house.

A father’s love may not come with the fancy packaging of flowers,beautified words,out-of-the-world showering of love and affection but it is nonetheless a raw love that is as ready to give any sacrifices for the sake of creating a heaven for his children to live in.

ACCEPT

Accept the fact that Love is not always easy.

Relationships won’t be in the same flow and rhythm all the time-it won’t be all glitters and gold everyday.Your partner is not always going to be good to you,just like you cannot be sweet and calm when your world is going upside down.

The state of mind of people will reflect upon their actions-and it is anything but natural.After all we are just humans-We have our own imperfections,personality traits,complaints,insecurities,bad habits,mood swings and all that comes with being a normal  human being .

 REMEMBER:UNDERSTAND AND ACCEPT THAT LOVE IS NOT MEANT TO BE PERFECT,IT IS MEANT TO BE BEAUTIFUL IN IT’S OWN IMPERFECTION.

FOCUS ON THE GOOD PART 

Instead of finding fault in people,realize the best qualities in them and admire them,accept them as they are.Be grateful that you met people to whom you MEAN something,that you found,experienced and felt LOVE.Think what was it that brought you together in the first place,Think of the things you love doing together,Think of the common interests you share,Think of that wonderful feeling you get in just being with the one you love.

REMEMBER: IF THE GOOD PART OF YOUR RELATIONSHIP EXCEEDS THE BAD PART,IT IS INDEED WORTH KEEPING.

WORK ON IT

Just like everything else,if you want a good relationship,you have to work on it.

In every relationship there will be disagreements,discussions,difference in opinions and sometimes even fights.But don’t make the mistake of taking impulsive decisions at the heat of the moment.That is not where it should all end.

LOVE-You have been there,You have felt it.You know the feeling,You know what having “butterflies in your stomach” mean.You have been through the chase,the blushes,the “very much in love” state,the excitement and every beautiful feeling that love has to offer.You know what a wonderful feeling it is.So,why let it go just because you have differences?Instead,work on it.Make it the best part of your world.You have to think and analyze where you went wrong,you have to give your relationship time,of all the things.Just like an old bottle of wine,Love blossoms and gets better with time.

REMEMBER:LOVE IS SOMETHING THAT NEEDS THE NURTURING OF YOUR HEART AND SOUL. IF YOU SUCCEED TO WORK ON IT AND KEEP IT SAFE,YOUR WORLD WILL BE COMPLETE.

LISTEN

In disagreements,we often tend to take out all of our anger,dissatisfaction and frustrations while not letting the other person to even speak.But,you have to listen to the other person too,you CANNOT make your point and then turn a deaf ear to what s/he has to say.It is completely unfair.YOU HAVE TO LISTEN.

REMEMBER:YOU HAVE THE IMPLIED RIGHT TO SPEAK YOUR HEART OUT,BUT YOU HAVE THE RESPONSIBILITY TO LISTEN AS WELL.

EXPECT,BUT BE REAL

What are your expectations from your relationship and your partner?

One of the most common factors that hinder a relationship is not being able to meet/live up to the expectations of each-other.It is but natural to have expectations from a relationship but their base needs to be realistic.The world we live in is real and our life is not a fairy tale.Expecting somebody to do things that are out of the world are what may kill a otherwise-beautiful relationship.No suppressed feelings of dissatisfaction would arise if you understand that though life doesn’t turn out the way you would want it to, it still is the best gift you have.

 

REMEMBER:JUST BECAUSE SOMEBODY DOESN’T LOVE YOU LIKE YOU WANT THEM TO,DOESN’T MEAN THAT THEY DON’T LOVE YOU WITH ALL THEY HAVE.
